Terry Hoitz's past mistakes in the line of duty and Allen Gamble's reluctance to take risks have landed them the roles of the "Other Guys", disgraced New York City police detectives relegated to filling out paperwork for cocky hero cops Danson and Highsmith. The mismatched duo must look past their differences when they take on a high-profile investigation of shady capitalist David Ershon and attempt to fill the shoes of the notoriously reckless officers they idolize

RAMONA AND BEEZUS
Starts Friday!: 6PM
Sat-Mon (Labor Day):
3 & 6PM
(103min)
Adapted from Beverly Cleary's perennially popular book series, Ramona and Beezus stars newcomer Joey King as Ramona Quimby, a grade-schooler with a big imagination. So big, in fact, that she often clashes with her no-nonsense teacher (Sandra Oh). When Ramona's upbeat dad (John Corbett) loses his job, the family -- including her teenage sister, Beezus (Selena Gomez), and their practical-minded mother (Bridget Moynahan) -- must make major adjustments, like dad learning how to run the house. Ramona dreams up various plans to make money so that she can save their house, but because everybody in the family seems too preoccupied to help her with her own worries, she turns to the one person who always has time for her, Aunt Bea (Ginnifer Goodwin). But even Aunt Bea is distracted these days because her ex-boyfriend -- and Quimby family next-door neighbor -- Hobart (Josh Duhamel) keeps trying to win Bea back.

IVEY HARDY
MONTH LONG PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION
THEATER LOBBY
Opening Reception - Friday, Sept. 3 - 6pm
A body in motion tends to capture the attention of Valley resident and photographer Ivey Hardy.
Diverse works include the quiet whispers of the human body to the color and grandeur of American Rodeo.
Ivey, in photographing the human body, strips away the backdrop of our lives, leaving subjects alone with their basic drives. Each photo attempts to show the person that often goes unseen or hidden by casual observation. Who each subject is, in the moment, is found more in the shadows and surrounding black space than in the sparsely illuminated body. While some photos give the feeling of intruding on another's private moment, others allow you to glimpse what lies just beyond the veil of the physical.
As summarized by local Burlington art critic, Jacob Fricke, "each photo is also a poem…an overheard soliloquy of body language."
This is in sharp contrast to the colorful and “larger than life” rodeo experience. Though the majority of works are from New England Rodeos, many impressive pieces were taken at major events around the country.
Over the years Ivey's work has appeared throughout Vermont, New Orleans and Massachusetts including Burlington’s Doll-Anstadt, Rhombus Firehouse Galleries.
